Fulfilling the "One Bus, One Tree" Green Commitment and Advancing the Global "Net Zero Forest" Initiative
Yutong Bus recently hosted a tree-planting event at Quebrada de Macul Urban Park in Santiago, Chile, adding 1,000 native trees as part of ongoing efforts to restore local ecosystems. The initiative builds on Yutong’s 2024 planting of 700 trees in the area and supports its "Net Zero Forest" and “One Bus, One Tree” environmental programs aimed at improving vegetation in Santiago’s urban landscape.
宇通客车近日在智利圣地亚哥马库尔谷城市公园（Quebrada de Macul Urban Park）种植1000棵本土树种，持续推进当地生态系统修复工作。该举延续了宇通2024年在该区域700棵树木的种植成果，旨在改善圣地亚哥城市景观植被状况，同时有效推进公司"零碳森林"全球环保倡议，践行" One Bus, One Tree "绿色承诺。

With just 3.95 square meters of green space per person, Santiago’s La Florida district falls well short of the WHO’s nine-square-meter standard. Quebrada de Macul Urban Park, in the Andes foothills, serves as a vital ecological corridor, helping regulate water flow, prevent erosion, and reduce heat and noise pollution.

A 2025 tree-planting campaign aims to boost biodiversity and improve quality of life in the densely populated area. The ecological restoration project uses tree species adapted to the Mediterranean climate to boost shade, stabilize soil, support biodiversity, and absorb carbon dioxide.

As nations accelerate toward carbon neutrality, Yutong is driving low-carbon development through long-term public welfare projects. Its "Net Zero Forest" program aligns seamlessly with the company's sustainable development strategy and ESG goals. By 2024, Yutong had planted more than 36,000 trees across China's Gansu Province, Chile, and the UK, aiming to reach 47,000 trees by 2025 to fulfill its global green commitment. The "Net Zero Forest" initiative will continue as Yutong's long-term environmental and decarbonization project, with expansion planned across multiple countries and cities worldwide over the next decade.
